A fresh Start – Resolutions

Good evening beautiful humans, I hope you’ve all had an amazing day! Today was the first day back at work doing a full shift, we’d been finishing earlier for Christmas all of last week so today did feel slightly longer. But I’m feeling super motivated recently, all because we’re moving into a new year and a fresh start…

Do you believe in resolutions? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them, however I do think a tendency for a lot of the population is to make these resolutions to better ourselves and we start off great, were working hard and pushing ourselves and then it’s almost as though the novelty wears off and things slow down and eventually we lose the habit we were never able to build to achieve the things we really wanted to.

It’s happened to me too, I mean I was saying all of last year how badly I wanted to renovate my bedroom and never did it, even when I started earning more, for some reason it was never one of my top priorities. Why? Because I didn’t put in the time, I didn’t make the effort to manifest this and make it a reality.

This month, no matter what, I will be starting this goal of mine. I may be slightly poor for January because of it but the sense of satisfaction I will feel once completed will be wayyyyy worth it.

What’s one of your resolutions? I mean, a cliche one would be to live a healthier lifestyle right? You know, I get people on a regular basis ask me how I stay healthy and why I eat clean and how I go to the gym every day. It’s all about developing habits, which isn’t easy, because you have to be motivated.

Resolutions are just resolutions. Goals are just goals… unless you put in the time and are prepared to motivate yourself to get the results you wish for! It’s easy really, you just have to remind yourself daily, keep yourself inspired, talk about your goals with others, motivate each other whatever it is that will keep you centered and focused.

For me, like many people I write a list of all my resolutions; setting them out into travel achievements, material achievements and personal achievements that I would like to meet. Once I’ve done this I create a vision board, envision those things you want to achieve, what will you be doing, how will you be feeling, what will you be wearing, who will be around you?

I think vision boards are amazing, because when your mind can envision exactly what it is you desire, it gives it something to work toward, the Universe will naturally help you manifest these things.

After this, every day, and I mean every single day I will write a list of things I want to achieve. These are what I would consider my ‘baby steps’ these are the small achievements that take me to the big goals that were on the resolution list.

By continually referring back to the resolution list daily when writing these this will help you stay on track, focused and determined.

Something else to take into consideration is that you can treat every day as a fresh start! If one day doesn’t go as planned, don’t give up and break that habit. Remember that tomorrow is a new day, it’s a day to reinvent yourself, there’s always a chance to change, usually it’ll be yourself that’s getting in your way.

Get writing your resolutions if you haven’t already and set them in motion, it’s time to make our 2020 visions a reality.

The Letter we should all write to ourselves…

Dear me,

I am beautiful, bold, brave, courageous and kind. I am doing amazing, working towards all my goals.

I am grateful for everything the Universe has gifted me so far, and I have even more gratitude for everything that is to come.

I am so strong. I have continued walking even in the hardest, darkest days; through rejection, anger and emotional states. I am still standing.

Everything I have been through has humbled me and made me into a stronger, better person.

There are no negatives in anything, just love and lessons to be learnt from.

I will constantly do the things I love, that keep me focused and inspire me to go after my biggest aspirations.

I am so proud of who I am. I love myself for staying true to who I am through it all.

Thank you Universe,

Hannah

… thought I’d share this. It’s a letter I wrote to myself one morning, sometimes I find writing down positive affirmations can really help if you’re not in the best mood. By doing this daily you’ll eventually start to believe them too, try it for yourself perhaps. Also I want to apologise for being MIA again. I have some important shifts happening in my life right now, things are beginning to re-align, and I’m excited.

All my love,

HG

Manifestation

Hello beautiful world and welcome back to my blog. How are you today? Take a moment to sit down and tap into how you’re really feeling, find appreciation and gratitude for anything and everything and just breathe. That’s what I’ve been trying to get better at recently, because I feel like I haven’t been tapping into how I’m truly feeling enough, and that’s because I’m scared.

When we feel negative emotions we want to ignore them, but it’s okay to feel sad or a little lost sometimes, if anything it’s totally normal and you should embrace it! This is something I’m still working on. Yes, I apologise because most of my posts must seem pretty samey recently, but I’m still powering through this awkward phase of my life.

I know deep down that my soul is trying to find a deeper meaning for me, and it’s all about maintaining faith that something amazing is about to come round the corner and sweep me off my feet, then I’ll look back and think- wow I’ve come so far, and I’m so glad that happened in order for me to get here.

Recently if I go running in the mornings (and by a run I mean 40% running 60% walking) I go on a route which takes me past my local church. I’m fortunate enough to live in a cute country village, where it’s calm and peaceful so running anywhere is pretty chilled. Yet I’d run past this church so many times and completely ignored it, because it was just part of the scenery.

Last week, I stepped inside. I don’t know who opens up this church so early but I usually go in about 8:30am or so, and the place is pretty dark with a little morning light and its dead silent… For some this may seem a little creepy but for me it was oddly calming.

I sat myself down in a pue and clasped my hands together. I was baptised as a Christian so I have been to church before it’s just something I was forced to do as a kid (kind of), this was me willingly getting down on my knees and praying… and it was awesome.

At this point in my job searching process I had had no responses, and I was feeling a little lost. So I asked for some guidance, I asked, I begged, for a sign for something to change, for a hand to hold, for strength in order to keep my faith. I know for some of you this may seem a little stupid, but I honestly just poured my heart out, emptied myself of any worries and then got up and left feeling 10 stone lighter than I did going in.

That same day I had a phone call about two different job interviews. That’s when I realised that the Law of Attraction works. If you put it out into the world, you ask for it, get down on your knees for it, it’ll manifest.

It’s about holding strong and keeping your head high, never fall down or settle for less than you deserve. I know that something exciting is on it’s way to me, yes I don’t know what exactly it is, but I know it’s there.

Sometimes uncertainty is okay, and it’s something I’ve been working on. Focus on yourself, don’t be comparitive because that won’t get you anywhere. If you truly want something and believe it’s yours, you’ve got it, just keep moving towards it in any way you can.

In the darkness there is always light- or something like that from the bible.

HG

Leap of faith

Hello beautiful readers, today I felt inspired to write since I’m making another big step in my life which is going to really shake things up for me for a while. I’ve got a full time job.

Now some of you may be confused, if you’ve read my stuff for a while now you would know I was all for going back to college, smashing out more education and pursuing something I love. The thing is, I wrote out a list of goals for the long and short-term months and months ago, probably at the start of this year. It dawned on me that in order to pursue these goals I needed to learn a lot of skills, which would only be defferred if I started studying again.

One of the biggest goals on this list is for me to create my own brand, the basic concept being to benefit the environment as much as possible. I love wildlife and the Earth itself, just because I’m no longer going to be studying it doesn’t change that! That is still the goal. I just have to keep my eyes on the prize.

Sometimes we have to work hard at something and learn as much as we can from that to benefit ourselves in the long-term. Life is all about learning new things, it’s how we progress as I said in my most recent post! I want to learn how to manage, learn as many skills as I can, until I’m confident enough to go out there and manage something that I’m really really passionate about.

I’m a 19 year old with some pretty big goals, not dreams, goals.

All it takes is being focused enough to achieve them. Never lose sight of what you desire, and never lose sight of what makes you authentic. It’s super important for me personally to hold onto that. In a high intensity job where I will be under pressure I need to keep my cool and hold onto my beliefs.

This opportunity excites me yet scares me simultaneously, and that’s how I know I should go for it. Because although my anxiety may be bad for a little while, I know it’s only because I’m out of my comfort zone, I’ve become accustomed to a very flexible way of living and that’s about to change. But it doesn’t mean it’ll be that way forever, I mean when I’m running my own business and I’m the highest you can get on that ladder I can have my flexiblity back.

Nothing is set in stone, everything is temporary. Embrace the moment and make every second count, work towards your goals and keep smiling.

All my love,

HG
